The first session of the Assertiveness and Decision making project took place in the Bytes Short Strand centre on Wednesday 29th June. 8 young people were involved in this session and a range of topics were raised, all of which have a personal impact to varying degrees in the Short Strand area.

The topics ranged from alcohol abuse, drugs, and a lack of housing in the area.  Housing was identified as being a major issue and one which affected the young people the most.  A video diary is being produced to provide a voice from the participants on this project.

All the participants who complete this project will achieve a Level One OCN Assertiveness and Decision Making.
