A legal high called Mephedrone has been hitting the headlines with the street name Magic. Young people in Polgelass Bytes have been very open in discussing the issue as the drug has become a serious issue in their community. A group of eight young people took part in a four week Drugs Awareness Project. The group discussed the advantages ie:medicine and disadvantages of taking drugs. The groups then used the Drugs Kit to identify drugs that are available in their area. The young people created posters after researching the drugs. The project then focused on the affects drugs have on the user, their friends, family and the surrounding community.
