Help Us Help Ourselves Achievements Recognised By Local Community
Poleglass Bytes young people honoured at Colin Youth Achievement Awards. The awards were held in Lisburn Civic Centre and were attended by hundreds of young people from the Colin community. Presenting the community awards were street dance duo ‘Twist and Pulse’ who were finalists on last year’s ‘Britain’s Got Talent’. The Help Us Help Ourselves Group received recognition for their efforts of raising awareness of suicide, amongst young people, and their local community. This was an excellent opportunity for the group to feel proud of their efforts as they are recognised by their local community. The group where nominated for three awards Achievement Despite Adversity, Group Achievement and one young person was nominated for The Heart of Colin Award.
