Bytes gain Employer of Choice Award

In May 2007 The Bytes Project received 'Employer of Choice' accreditation. This provides our organisation with a framework for ensuring that excellence and 'best practice' are achieved throughout the human resource management process.

The Bytes Project received an award for our commitment for training. In  2002 we also received the Richard Lea NTA special award for Community Benefit Received through Training.

National Training Awards (NTA) 2009

During a gala ceremony held in the Belfast Harbour Commissioners’ Office on Tuesday evening 13 October, The Bytes Project and Tides Training received a regional award in the Partnership and Collaboration category. Four of the organisations honoured  of which we were one, further achieved UK National winner status and will go forward to represent Northern Ireland at the UK National Ceremony in the Royal Horticultural Halls in London in December.

NICVA Scope communications Award 2006 – Winner in Youth category

The young people from Short Strand won the 2006 SCOPE Award for the under 21’s section.  This was a digital story called ‘What if” which was written, acted and produced by the young people.

Investors in People

Bytes receives IIP accreditation in 2009
The Bytes Project has been recognised as an Investor in People (IIP) after a recent review of the organisation. We have a core team of 27 staff members who are all supported to delivering the vision of the organisation through clear policies and procedures.

We are committed to addressing the continuing training and professional development needs of all those involved in promoting our services to young people.  We are working to increase capacity, knowledge and skills in relation to creative and innovative approaches.

In line with our key objectives we encourage excellence in youth work and training practice.& During the year we provided a comprehensive high quality programme of activity comprising direct delivery of and access to seminars, workshops, courses and training events in support of our range of programme areas such as: NLP, personal development, digital media skills, conflict management, good relations, cultural awareness, child protection, suicide awareness and health related issues.
